The US ambassador to the UN traveled to Kiev today to continue supporting Ukraine.

The country has been defending its freedom since February 24 against Putin’s bloody invasion.

The United States’ US mission said Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield will reiterate the United States’ “steadfast support” for Ukraine as it “defends its freedom and territorial integrity amid the brutal and unprovoked invasion of Russia.”

Her first stop turned out to be at a flour mill in the Ukrainian capital, where she was offered a loaf of bread.

Later today, she will meet with Ukrainian government leaders in Kiev to discuss the “castle” US commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence.

Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will also hear firsthand stories from survivors of Russian war atrocities and watch Ukrainian officials document and preserve evidence of alleged war crimes.

She will then discuss the global food insecurity crisis exacerbated by the Russian invasion and underline the need for an extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative to next year.

US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield met Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana, Albania, on November 7.

She will also meet humanitarian organizations focused on protecting vulnerable people battling a cold winter in Ukraine.

The ambassador has been on a tour of Europe and was in Albania yesterday.

She met Prime Minister Edi Rama and Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka and discussed the shared goals of strengthening international support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence.

Her visit to Ukraine today comes as an attack to retake the city of Kherson could be imminent, Russian state media suggested.

New footage shows Kiev’s troops fighting for their lives.

Heartbreaking video shot in recent weeks on an uncharted battlefield shows Ukrainian soldiers opening fire on their Russian counterparts with rifles, machine guns and rocket launchers as they battle for control of a city.

The gritty footage also shows wounded Ukrainian troops – one of whom needs a tourniquet after being hit in the leg (left) and another is shown lying against a wall (right)

The footage even shows a Ukrainian injured with blood pouring from his leg as one of his comrades rushes to apply a tourniquet to save his life.

While it’s unclear exactly where the video was shot, it emerged when Russian state media warned that the city of Kherson could soon be attacked.

Today is the last day of the [civilian] evacuation,” a Russian official told a state television station on Tuesday.

“People who haven’t left realize the gravity of the situation and my warnings.”
