An urgent recall has been issued for a dangerous folding crib that could pose an “injury hazard to young children” if the crib is assembled incorrectly.
On Wednesday, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission sent out an alert about the $249 Star Kidz Vivo travel product, sold through Nanny Annie on eBay and Catch.
The ACCC said the item does not have clear labeling to ensure consumers set it up correctly and safely.

“The crib does not meet the labeling requirements and the requirements to include prominent instructions for mounting and lockout procedures of the mandatory safety standard for folding cribs,” the ACCC said.
Consumers should refer to the assembly and operating instructions in the product manual to ensure that the product is assembled correctly.
‘Internet Traders Pty Ltd and its resellers/wholesalers will contact consumers to arrange the supply of labels with the required warnings, which consumers can permanently affix to the crib.
The versatile cot is designed to be used on family outings and has mesh side compartments that open.
The height of where the baby lies can also be adjusted by adding another layer, with the crib holding 15kg.
The cradle, which is for babies from zero to three years old, can be carried in a bag and disassembled where the legs of the cradle fit.
