The next big PS5 exclusive set to release is Concord, launching on August 23, 2024. It looks like it will combine a Guardians of the Galaxy style story with hero shooter gameplay.

Upcoming PS5 exclusives include AAA first-party games, as well as Sony’s future slate of multiplayer titles, something new that the publisher seems to be pushing quite hard. No matter what type of games you like to play, there are plenty of exclusives coming to PS5, many of which already have a release date or wide release window.

As for upcoming games, it looks like the PS5 exclusives will be an extremely strong lineup next year. That’s before you consider the multiplayer offering, with games like Marathon will continue Bungie’s success in the FPS game genre.

Here are the upcoming PS5 exclusives to look forward to in the coming years. We’ll only discuss games that have been officially confirmed for release, many of which have already had firm release dates set. As for the games we’ve included here, they’re only coming to PS5 or its console versions. exclusives, which means they will also appear on PC. There are currently eight major PS5 exclusives planned and confirmed for future release on the PlayStation 5 console. We’ve listed them below, along with their release dates, where available.

As for the games we’ve included here, they’re only coming to PS5 or exclusive to the console; the latter means that they will also appear on PC. We also make this clear with each item below, so that you have a clear idea of ​​what is what.

Agreement

Agreement was revealed last year, with a trailer that didn’t exactly reveal much. Since then, and thanks to a lengthy showing at a State of Play event, we now know it will be a 5v5 shooter. Sony unveiled an 11-minute feature film to set the scene and overall tone for the sci-fi world of Concords. It’s very Guardians of the Galaxy, with four heroes chatting in a bar after a heist goes wrong.

Astrobot

Thanks to a recent State of Play event, we now know that this is a completely new phenomenon Astrobot game is in the making. It appears to be a full-fledged 3D platformer exclusive to PS5. In the game reveal messageSony says players will be able to visit six galaxies across 80 levels when the game is released.

Astrobot will launch on September 6, 2024 for PS5. Despite the series previously appearing on PSVR, there is no PSVR2 support in this one.

Silent Hill 2 remake

The Silent Hill 2 remake is provided by Bloober Team, the studio behind the Layers of Fear series. We’ve only seen a few trailers so far, but it certainly looks promising. Since the original is such an esteemed classic, the new term certainly has a big job to do.

Silent Hill 2 will launch on October 8, 2024 for PS5 and PC, so exclusively for a PS5 console.

Ballad of Antara

Ballad of Antara is an action RPG with multiple playable characters. These characters possess the power to traverse the two worlds of normal and unimaginable. The developers call them “Emissaries”. Each Emissary has its own unique class, gameplay capabilities, and its own enticing, mysterious stories. So far we’ve seen a long trailer, which you can watch as part of it this blog post.

Ballad of Antara is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2025. Currently, it is only confirmed for PS5.

Where winds meet

Where winds meet is an epic Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG game, which was recently confirmed to launch on PS5. Initially we only knew of a PC release, but after a State of Play event in May we know it’s coming to PlayStation. Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s Wolverine comes from the folks at Insomniac, the team responsible for the Spider-Man PS4 and PS5 games. As such, expectations are very high indeed, and since we haven’t seen much of it yet, things are still very much up in the air. So far, only a short cinematic trailer has been revealed, showing Logan sitting at a bar after what appears to have been a very bloody brawl.

Currently, Wolverine is only planned for a PS5 release.

Death stranding 2

Death stranding 2 was somewhat of a surprise when it was announced, as many weren’t expecting 2019’s Death Stranding to get a sequel. What we’ve seen so far amounts to some classic Kojima footage, with Sam Porter Bridges now sporting gray hair. It looks like Fragile is returning as well. Not much else is known.

When it finally arrives in 2025, Death stranding 2 will only be available for PS5.

Marathon

Marathon comes from Bungie, the makers of Destination And Halo. It’s going to be a sci-fi extraction shooter, and what we’ve seen so far looks absolutely incredible in terms of visual style. Marathon players will compete against each other as cybernetic mercenaries known as Runners, exploring a lost colony on the planet Tau Ceti IV in search of riches, fame and infamy.

It will launch on PS5 and PC, with full cross-play and cross-save.

Fairgame$

Fairgame$ is a competitive heist game where you join an underground movement to rob the ultra-rich and rebalance the scales. We haven’t seen any gameplay yet and we don’t have a release date or release date either.

What we do know is that the game will be released on PS5 and PC.

Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero was revealed earlier this year during a PlayStation Showcase event. It looks like it will combine fast-paced action with cinematic, fast-paced gameplay. There are epic boss battles and plenty of parrying as you make your way through a broken land, seeking revenge on those who mortally wounded you.

Phantom Blade Zero It’s confirmed to be in development for PS5 and PC, although no further details have been given on when it’ll release (or if the number of platforms will grow).

Sword of the sea

Sword of the sea is set in a desolate realm where the terrain flows in waves. You use a transportation vehicle called the Hoversword. The Hoversword controls like a snowboard, skateboard and hoverboard in one. Build momentum to reach high speeds and take to the skies as you explore skatepark-style ruins and uncover an ancient mystery along the way.

Currently, Sword of the sea will be announced for PS5 and PC.
