Until Dawn comes to PS5 and PC this year with new locations, third-person camera and more

It’s confirmed to be Supermassive Games’ 2015 horror game Until dawn gets an improved one PlayStation 5 version, and it will also be released on PC.

In case you were unfamiliar, Until dawn follows the story of eight friends trapped in a creepy, remote mountain retreat, in a story influenced by the player’s decisions. The choices you make can make all the difference when it comes to deciding who lives and who dies, with countless possible paths to take along the way. The concept is similar to that of The quarryalso developed by Supermassive, but released in 2022 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

unlike The quarry, Until dawn only ever released for PlayStation 4, meaning many gamers probably missed it entirely. Rebuilt by Ballistic Moon in Unreal Engine 5, this new enhanced version is sure to make the horror title accessible to more players than ever before.

In addition to upgraded animations and visuals, the game has a brand new soundtrack by horror composer Mark Korven. Not only that, but the fresh third-person camera perspective allows players to look at the game in a whole new way. There will also be new locations to roam and collectibles to collect.

“We’ve tried to maintain the fantastic narrative integration of the original, but we’ve taken the opportunity to expand into unexplored emotional parts of the story,” Ballistic Moon creative director Neil McEwan said in a statement. after on the PlayStation blog.

Until dawn is scheduled for release on PS5 and PC later this year, but no exact release window has been given yet.
