Unseen photos of Noel and Liam Gallagher’s ‘top secret’ reunion photoshoot reveal brother’s ‘electric’ chemistry

These are the previously unknown photos of Noel and Liam Gallagher reuniting for a ‘top secret’ reunion photoshoot ahead of Oasis’ sensational comeback tour.

The Manchester brothers put their 15-year feud aside and joined forces with photographer Simon Emmett to shoot images to promote their massive UK and Ireland tour.

Oasis fans feared they would never see the Gallagher brothers in the same room again after their high-profile altercation backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009.

But they met in secret earlier this summer to shoot the promotional photos ahead of today’s announcement.

The black-and-white photos, their first together in years, were taken by Mr. Emmett, a photographer who previously worked with Liam for El Pais Icon magazine in 2019 and with Notel for the cover of Esquire in 2015.

Although the brothers frown down the camera lens with their hands in their jeans pockets, their chemistry was reportedly “electric.” Liam, who is seen with a buzzcut, is wearing a black waxed jacket, while Noel is in his traditional cropped trade jacket.

Some may have thought Noel, 57, and Liam, 51, would pose separately and later be photoshopped together due to their troubled relationship, but the two joined forces to create the photo fans have been waiting for.

Noel and Liam Gallagher proved they’ve buried the hatchet of their 15-year feud when they met up this summer to pose for a photo together in celebration of Oasis’ comeback tour

“I know it looks like it’s photoshopped, but they were both there and they met,” a source said. The Mirror.

“They were laughing and joking. It was great to see each other again after all those years apart.”

Mr. Emmett, who is known for his celebrity portraits and beauty shots, captured the black-and-white photo of the pensive duo.

The duo met in secret to plan their rumoured Oasis reunion, with staff in attendance forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

A source told the The sun: ‘It was a painful moment having Noel and Liam together’.

‘The shoot was top secret and almost nobody knew about it. For their fans it will be a great sight to see them together again, the atmosphere in the room was electric, it was electric’.

‘Once the announcement is made and their fans rush to buy tickets, the hard work begins to prepare for their return to action.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives of Oasis for comment.

The iconic Britpop band have put an end to speculation by confirming a series of non-televised shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer.

The 14-show tour will run from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before heading to Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield and Dublin’s Croke Park.

Despite speculation that Oasis will be on the Glastonbury 2025 bill, it is known that the band will not be performing at Worthy Farm. However, there are plans for Oasis to tour other continents outside of Europe later next year.

Announcing the Oasis Live 25 tour, the legendary band said: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come and see it. It won’t be televised.’

Announcing the Oasis Live 25 tour, along with the first photo of the brothers in years, the legendary band said: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see it. It won’t be televised.’

The Oasis website crashed immediately after the announcement, as fans went into an uproar. The reunion comes a day before the band split on 28 August 2009.

During his headline performance in Reading, Liam performed a number of Oasis hits from their 30th anniversary debut album Definitely Maybe.

Introducing Half The World Away, a 1994 B-side that also served as the theme song for the sitcom The Royle Family, he told the revellers: ‘I want to dedicate this song to Noel f**king Gallagher.’

Liam continued to keep fans guessing by dedicating his version of Cigarettes & Alcohol at Reading Festival to people who hate Oasis.

The song, written by his older brother, was the final single from their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe.

As he closed the set, Liam suggested they make an announcement at 8am on Tuesday. A short clip of a sign in the style of the Oasis logo was projected onto a large screen above the stage and subsequently shared to Oasis, Noel and Liam’s official Instagram and X accounts.

The white rectangular box with a black block in the middle had the date “27.08.24” written in the middle where the band’s name is usually seen. It then flashed and changed to “8am”.

In recent years, Liam has wanted to make amends with his brother and revive the iconic Britpop band, but his older brother was having none of it.

But after Noel divorced ex-wife Sara MacDonald for £20million last year, the elder Gallagher is said to be convinced it would make financial sense to get the band back together for gigs at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium.

It is expected to be the most popular tour in British concert history, with industry insiders saying the brothers’ deal will net them £50 million.

Liam sparked outrage among Oasis fans when he confirmed that the Don’t Look Back In Anger singers would be touring the country next year.

When Liam was asked on X, formerly Twitter, about the planned Oasis shows, he wrote: ‘See you in the front row’.

He later told his 3.6 million followers on the platform: ‘I never liked that word FORMER’.

Despite the thaw in their relationship, the younger Gallagher couldn’t resist taking a dig at his brother. When asked what he would tell Noel when they got back on stage, he said: ‘Keep up.’
