The night before Thanksgiving, a fight broke out at a family favorite restaurant in Massachusetts after lines stretched down the street to get into the building.
Kowloon, a popular restaurant in Saugus, Massachusetts, attracts families looking to eat out, with many making an annual tradition of visiting on Thanksgiving night.
This year, a dramatic fight broke out on Wednesday night when unruly diners began wrecking, with some customers throwing punches in the middle of the restaurant.
Saugus Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli denounced the disorder, labeling the fight “unacceptable and disgusting.”

On the night before Thanksgiving, a fight broke out between several unruly customers at the family’s favorite restaurant
He said in a statement: ‘The Kowloon is a family-friendly restaurant, unfortunately a few unruly customers ruined an enjoyable evening for many others.
“A disruption like this on Thanksgiving is unacceptable and abhorrent.”
Six Saugus police officers were already monitoring the crowds at the restaurant as large groups of people are expected to show up on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving – as many families have made it part of their holiday ritual.
State troops joined local police on the scene shortly after the fighting was brought under control by police.
The additional troops decided to remain on site to disperse the crowds after the restaurant’s management closed the restaurant early due to the brawl.
Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the violent incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
During the wild outbreak, a glass bottle was allegedly used as a weapon – which is a criminal offense.

“Every now and then you bring two people together, whether it’s here, at a football match, anywhere, it can happen anywhere, it can happen in your own home. You have family members who don’t get along.’
Kowloon had uploaded a post to their Facebook page shortly before the fight broke out saying they were grateful for their customers.
“We are very grateful for the hundreds of customers waiting outside to join us for their pre-Thanksgiving meal. Thank you,” the message said.
Many fans of the restaurant took to the comments to share their appreciation for the local hotspot.
“This restaurant is a staple for so many families,” said one fan.
Another user said: ‘This building should become a monument!’
“I’ve loved this restaurant since I was little,” one person commented.
