One of the NBA’s biggest stars is unrecognizable as he poses during a bizarre underwater workout in Bahrain.
The superstar is shirtless and lifts heavy weights in the deep water, with a huge diving mask on his face.
One workout shows him underwater from the neck down, holding a pair of 60-pound weights. Another workout shows the NBA veteran doing an underwater handstand with 40-pound weights holding him under.
He has more photos in the water, including a posed photo of him dribbling a basketball with his left hand and holding a 40-pound weight with his right.
The NBA man underwater and shirtless is none other than Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown.
Jaylen Brown posted photos of himself on Instagram doing a bizarre underwater workout
Brown was seen as one of the biggest omissions from the US Olympic basketball team
Brown posted photos on Instagram showing himself in a swimming pool in Bahrain’s largest city and capital, Manama.
A few weeks ago, Brown played a pivotal role in the Celtics winning their first NBA championship since 2008.
Brown was seen as one of the biggest absentees from the high-performance U.S. team that won gold at the Olympics. Teammates Jayson Tatum and Derrick White got the nod from head coach Steve Kerr.
Now that LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and likely more players have played in their final Olympics, it appears that Brown’s spot has opened up for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Brown did get his international trip, even though Paris was off the agenda due to his underwater adventures in Berlin.
Even with his underwater training, Brown would likely only compete in basketball at the next Olympics.
