The University of Sydney has been placed on lockdown following unconfirmed reports of a stabbing, with one person rushed to hospital.
New South Wales Police have not yet confirmed the nature of the incident, but a New South Wales Ambulance Service spokesperson said one person was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
University lecturers said they had been given a lockdown measure.
“As a precautionary measure, there may be increased security and police presence on campus while the investigation continues,” a University of Sydney spokesperson said.
