University of Wisconsin chancellor is STILL making $90K salary despite being fired for X-rated videos he makes with his wife under name ‘Sexy Happy Couple’

The chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, who was previously fired for making X-rated videos with his wife and an assortment of porn stars, is still earning his $90,000 salary from the state-funded institution.

Joe Gow, 64, was fired last year as chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse but has retained his role as a communications professor.

Accordingly, his salary plummeted from more than $250,000 a year to about $92,000.

Despite still technically being employed by the university, Gow is currently not allowed to set foot on campus as he remains on paid leave, according to the New York Post.

Later this year, he will be the subject of a hearing that will determine whether or not he can return to the classroom.

For now, however, he continues to collect his salary as a teacher, and his secondary income as an X-rated content creator, who has reportedly continued to distribute content.

Gow’s replacement has so far filed several charges against him, including failing to cooperate with an investigation into his conduct and using the school’s computers to produce pornography.

‘They want to fire me as a permanent faculty member. But what I do with my wife, on my own time and with my own equipment, is none of their business,” he told the Post.

Gow was fired by the Board of Regents last year after it was discovered that he posted X-rated videos with his wife online under the name Sexy Happy Couple.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Gow and his wife Carmen Wilson share photos of video clips from their cooking channel, where they regularly feature adult video stars. They also link to LoyalFans and OnlyFans for “fully explicit scenes.”

‘In recent days we have become aware of specific behavior by Dr. Gow, causing the university to suffer significant reputational damage. His actions were abhorrent,” Jay Rothman, president of the University of Wisconsin, said in December.

Rothman filed a complaint to have Gow’s permanent status reviewed and he was placed on leave.

Rothman said the school has hired an outside law firm to investigate the matter.

‘Dr. Joe Gow has shown a reckless disregard for the role entrusted to him at UW-La Crosse to serve students, faculty and staff, and the campus community,” said UW System Regent President Karen Walsh.

“The outrage over his behavior is reflected in the UW Board of Regents’ unanimous vote to remove him as chancellor. We are alarmed and disgusted by his actions, which were completely and unequivocally inconsistent with his role as chancellor.”

Gow, La Crosse’s second-longest serving chancellor, told the newspaper Milwaukee Journal Sentinel its content is protected by freedom of expression and no university property or funds were used to create it – although that claim is now disputed by the school.

“Nothing is said about the University of Wisconsin; nothing is said about the chancellor (on the videos). So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say this is problematic,” Gow said.

In 2018, Gow was denied a raise after paying porn star Nina Hartley $5,000 from his discretionary fund to speak at the La Crosse campus.

During the 90-minute speech, Hartley told students that it is acceptable to enjoy pornography, and not to enjoy it or be confused by it. She also emphasized that pornography is fantasy.

Gow later apologized for the “sensational” media attention Hartley’s performance had attracted, saying he was naive about the possibility that her appeal would overwhelm her message. He also personally reimbursed the school for the $5,000.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Gow and Wilson have six videos on OnlyFans featuring adult film stars, according to the videos’ descriptions.

The couple also appear on at least two other porn websites – PornHub and XHamster – where some of their videos have been viewed more than 200,000 times. All videos were posted relatively recently.

Gow and Wilson have reportedly published two e-books about their adult content under pseudonyms and describe themselves as executives of well-known institutions in the country.

The literary works were respectively titled “Monogamy with Benefits: How Porn Enriches Our Relationship” and “Married with Benefits – Our Real Adventures in the Adult Industry.”

In one of the texts, the couple says they are “reasonably sure there would be a scandal if our colleagues knew what we did.”

‘We think our sex is beautiful and have no problem with other people seeing how we make love. But our established colleagues would probably be shocked to see us complete the full carnal process – especially with professional porn stars – and we’re pretty sure we’ll be shunned in our community.”

Now Gow says their content is ethical, that “no one is cheating on anyone,” and that the videos are examples of the couple “openly and honestly enjoying our sex life.”

‘We are in love, and we have fun together. People don’t understand it, and it makes them uncomfortable; That’s why they want me gone.’
