This is the terrifying moment a United Airlines passenger makes a shocking discovery under her seat during a flight.
During the ride, the passenger discovered a hole under her seat because there was a constant draft over her feet.
She shared the shocking images on social media and subsequently complained to the company about the serious safety risk.
She later claimed that United Airlines offered her a pathetic $50 apology, with no further explanation.
The video was shared online by Instagram page Cockpit King with the caption: ‘You feel a cold breeze on your feet on a United Airlines flight! Then you find a hole in the plane.’
The flyer stated that their feet were frozen for two hours and that it looked like the hole was “covered with silicone.”
The anxious flyer said she spoke to a United Airlines supervisor after landing, but was only offered a $50 voucher.
She also claimed the airline was “jeopardizing the safety of its passengers” before taking down the September 19 video.
“Is this the new option for a sliding roof in economy class, or do we really have a safety risk?” reads the video posted on TikTok and Facebook.
The problem is one of several aircraft issues United Airlines has had this year, including loose bolts and damaged wings.
Several Reddit users have even discussed the aftermath of United Airlines flight UA354 which diverted to Denver International Airport after its right wing was damaged.
“Outside, all that was visible was a bit of the leading edge of the rung sticking out,” one Reddit user wrote.
“It would have to be a much larger portion to negatively impact the aircraft’s flying capabilities.”

Social media users who watched Cockpit King’s video reacted much more harshly, with more than one Instagram user claiming to be a pilot.
Someone wrote: ‘You wouldn’t be able to breathe if that hole was where you think it was.’
“If there was a hole in the plane you would bleed from your ears,” claimed another Instagram user.
At least three of them were convinced it was not a hole and insulted King Cockpit’s aviation knowledge.
“It’s clearly not a hole to the outside elements because if it was, the cabin would depressurize and the pilot would declare an emergency and return to the landing,” one person added. DailyMail.com contacted United Airlines for comment.
