Uma Thurman cuts a casual figure in a blue jumper and jeans as she heads to airport with son Levon

She was the star of the show at the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival, where Johnny Depp’s new film Jeanne du Barry premiered.

And in the blink of an eye and you’ll miss the appearance, Uma Thurman packed her bags and headed to Nice Airport on Thursday with her rarely seen son Levon, 21, on Thursday.

The actress, 53, looked casual for the flight home, where she opted for a blue jumper and jeans.

The screen legend paired the look with a crisp white blouse and slipped on a pair of white trainers to stay comfortable.

The Pulp Fiction icon added a touch of flair to her look, pairing it with a straw Christian Dior hat and a pink handbag.

She went makeup-free and wore her blonde locks in a ponytail under the hat.

Levon looked just as casual, wearing a patterned beige shirt and gray slacks, paired with an orange cap.

On Tuesday, Uma joined Levon at the premiere of Jeanne du Barry on the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Kill Bill actress looked incredible in an elegant blush dress with a fitted bodice and a princess skirt.

Uma, who shares son Levon with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, completed the beautiful ensemble with a gothic choker and beaded bracelet for her elegant turn in front of the paparazzi.

The screen star wore her blonde locks swept up in a chic updo and opted for a neutral make-up palette.

Levon, who is also an actor and has appeared in movies like The Crowded Room and The Thicket, was every inch the dapper date in a smart black tuxedo and bow tie as he stood proudly next to his mother.

It is not the first time that Levon has attended the festival with his mother, as he was already seen on the red carpet in 2017.

Levon has followed in the footsteps of his actor parents, as has his older sister Maya, 24, who starred in the Netflix series Stranger Things, as well as the recent film Do Revenge.

Uma married actor Ethan in 1998 after meeting on the set of the movie Gattaca, and separated in 2003, followed by divorce two years later.

This year’s festival promises a Côte d’Azur buffet of spectacle, scandal and cinema served over the next 12 days.

It unfolds against the backdrop of labor unrest. Protests that have stirred France in recent months over changes to the pension system will take place during the festival, albeit at a distance from the main festival hub.

A ongoing strike by screenwriters in Hollywood could have unpredictable effects on the French Riviera Festival.

But with a festival packed with some highly anticipated, big-budget films, including James Mangold’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of the Destiny and Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, the party is sure to go on anyway.

Stars set to hit the Cannes red carpet over the next week and a half include Natalie Portman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Sean Penn, Alicia Vikander, The Weeknd and Scarlett Johansson.
