UK viewers are left shocked as they watch Married At First Sight Australia

Married At First Sight Australia has been a huge success with viewers in the UK.

But some British fans are shocked after watching the controversial Channel Nine show, with many saying they couldn’t believe how ‘misogynistic’ the grooms are this season.

Some viewers recently flocked to social media to express their frustrations, with one saying they hope not all Australian men are the same.

Another said the show, which had a cheating scandal and a lot of drama this season, but paints all Aussies in a bad light.

However, some said the drama made for good TV and said the Australian version is better than the UK version.

“I am fully invested in MAFS AU, but I have a question for the Australians. Are the majority of men in Aussie land as misogynistic as half the dudes in Season 10 for MAFS? Harrison, Dan, Adam…? May look good on the outside, but damn ugly on the inside,” one viewer wrote.

“I’m afraid they seem to be. Why are they looking for a partner if they are so abusive and misogynistic? I really hope not all Australian men are like that, it doesn’t paint Aussies in a good light,” said another.

‘Married At First Sight Australia does absolutely no favors for Australians. There’s not one person on that show I’d ever want to marry,” another joked.

While one fan called the show “quality TV,” another said the show doesn’t accurately portray Australia.

“I lived in Australia for a few years, don’t be impressed by what you see on MAFS AU, in real life in Australia it’s not,” said one viewer scathingly.

“Are Australians really that stupid?” Added another.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail Australia, Harrison Boon went rogue, claiming he was portrayed unfairly on the show thanks to the editing.

“Editing was on Bronte’s side all the way through,” Harrison began.

“So many scenes were cut that would have completely affected the audience. I think if people had actually seen what I was responding to, they would have thought, ‘This guy’s just a reasonable guy.’

Harrison further revealed that Bronte brought up their past match on a dating app months before she appeared on the show, admitting she had planned to use this information against him from the start.

“We actually had a conversation where she showed me the screenshot, which I sent some messages to, and in the screenshot she was on the phone,” he explained.

“In hindsight now… those screenshots were actually part of a group message where she talked about me and her intentions… she was going to use it against me.”

“I think that’s the most narcissistic, the most gaslighting, the most manipulative thing anyone could have done,” he added.

Harrison felt the show’s editing unfairly painted him as a manipulator, narcissist, and gaslighter.

Harrison believed that if audiences had been given a chance to see the full story from his perspective, they would have had a different opinion of him.

“If they saw the stimulus, if they saw the context of what I was responding to in the first place, most people would probably think, ‘s**t, like, this guy is extremely patient,” he said. . “He puts up with a lot and he just doesn’t take anything from anyone.”

But fans of the Channel Nine reality show are calling on producers to cast people who are genuinely looking for love, not fame-hungry influencers and actors.

Reactions under the post weren’t positive, however, with fans seemingly fed up with the drama of the series and the lack of real connections between the couples.

One response, which received more than 500 likes, read: ‘Screen people better next year. We like to see people fall in love, not emotionally manipulated.’
