Merab Dvalishvili, the world’s best bantamweight fighter, was spotted confronting a boxer in the stands of an MMA event and giving him the scare of his life.
The 33-year-old Georgian was sitting in the front row with his entourage at the Chris Jones Invitational in Las Vegas on Friday when a fan in the crowd shouted insults at him while Sean O’Malley – Dvalishvili’s next opponent – appeared on the screen.
The taunts were enough for The Machine to stand up and take matters into his own hands. He can be seen on social media climbing over a fence, jumping another fence and finding the troublesome idiot in his section.
After breaking down all the barriers between him and the troll, Dvalishvili walks up the stairs, while the troublesome man repeatedly says, “No, no, no, no.”
Fans surrounding the pair can also be seen capturing the escalation, as the troublesome man’s heart pounds in his throat.
Merab Dvalishvili scared a man who challenged him as he walked to his seat at the CJI on Friday
But as soon as he reaches the troublemaker’s chair, Dvalishvili stares at the man, clearly in distress, for a second, then grabs his hair and pulls, controlling his anger.
Next, security is seen escorting Dvalishvili back to his seat.
UFC fans on social media couldn’t believe it.
“The difference between a warrior and a keyboard warrior,” someone pointed out on Instagram.
“Lol dude, shit his pants ))),” said someone else.
“That was a million dollar case,” another user wrote. “Since it’s on so many cameras, I don’t think even the best lawyer in the world could save that case.”
The 33-year-old Dvalishvili will fight Sean O’Malley on September 14 at UFC 306 (seen in February).
Someone else joked: ‘Merab is next to star in an anti-bullying campaign.’
Dvalishvili’s fight against O’Malley will take place on September 14 at UFC 306.
Dvalishvili is currently 17-4-0.
He has only lost by submission once in his career, to Ricky Simon in 2018.
