UFC legend Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne welcome new baby girl amid fears over raging Los Angeles fires

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey and her husband, former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, welcomed their new baby Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha on Thursday evening amid the wildfires raging through Los Angeles County.

Residents in Southern California have been evacuated over the past week due to the apocalyptic conditions of the fires.

Rousey, who trains out of Glendale in LA County, posted about giving birth amid the disaster.

While their daughter’s birthplace is unclear, Rousey’s caption suggests she and her family are still close to the area.

“Our little girl was born during a storm in a city on fire, so grateful that she made it safe and sound,” she wrote.

The post included a video of Rousey introducing her eldest, La’akea, to her younger sister, a selfie with her newborn and a photo of their family with their newest addition.

Rousey and Browne married in August 2017 and welcomed La’akea in September 2021

Rousey and Browne married in August 2017 in the former UFC heavyweight’s native Hawaii. They then welcomed La’akea in September 2021.

In addition to La’akea and Liko’ula, Rousey plays the stepmother of two of Browne’s sons from his previous marriage.

Rousey first announced her pregnancy in July, when she showed off her baby bump during a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con.

Rowdy won the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight title in her fifth fight and fifth straight win as a professional MMA fighter. She held the title until the UFC released the promotion.

After acquiring the entire Strikeforce roster, Dana White crowned Rousey as UFC women’s bantamweight queen – a title she successfully defended six times as her stardom soared to unprecedented heights.

She went 12-0 in MMA before losing to Holly Holm via second-round head kick KO in 2015.

Over a year later, she was gifted a title fight in her UFC return before losing to Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds without landing a significant strike.

Following her legendary MMA career, Rousey had a successful five-year run with WWE that ended in 2023.
