Australian UFC star Alex Volkanovski struggled to hide his emotions at his recent gender reveal after it appeared the featherweight champion was expecting a baby.
Volkanovski, 34, uploaded the video to Instagram Monday night showing his wife Emma and their two daughters about to receive the big news.
He had attached a large purple balloon with the words ‘Baby Volk #3 is a…’ written on it.
Before the balloon bursts, the world champion asks his family for predictions about the color of the soon-to-be-revealed confetti.
His eldest daughter, Ariana, is going with a boy, while the youngest predicts that it will be another girl. Emma also predicts that she will be another girl.

“I mean, obviously, we’re happy with whatever it is,” says Volkanovski. ‘But two girls and then a boy, makes sense doesn’t it? Let’s see how it goes.
Ariana then sees some pink confetti inside the balloon and decides to change her prediction to a girl, to which Volkanoski looks wide-eyed at the camera.
The balloon is then popped to reveal pink confetti and the family can be seen celebrating.
Volkanovski smiles at the camera, but his smile is hilariously restrained and tight-lipped.
Fans were quick to comment and congratulate the Wollongong native.
‘Volk burning up inside wishing he was a boy!’ said one Instagram user.
‘Congratulations! Our third girl is also on the way. It’s going to be a wild ride…” commented Facebook billionaire Mark Zuckerberg.
“Luckily he’s not a boy, otherwise in 25 years there won’t be any Degastani fighters left,” joked a third, referring to Volkanovski’s last fight against Islam Makhachev.

Makhachev won a unanimous decision by scores of 28-27, 28-27 and 29-26 to successfully defend his lightweight belt at UFC 284, but many fight fans and pundits believed the Australian had done enough to win. .

Using a drip to rehydrate after a weight cut has previously been adopted by some UFC fighters, but the sport’s regulators banned it in 2015 in an effort to stamp out the practice.
In a foul-mouthed rant on Twitter, the Kiwi called Makhachev a “dumb c***” and suggested the UFC lightweight champions had “hired a nurse” to inject him with fluids.
‘The idiot thinks he can fly to Australia, hires a nurse to put him on an IV and we won’t find out. Cheater dog,’ he posted.
The loss was Volkanovski’s first in the UFC after 22 straight wins, but the Australian insisted he felt like he won the fight.
“After watching it, I’m pretty confident and comfortable saying I thought I won the second, third and fifth rounds,” he said.
“But it was definitely a close fight and I’m a little upset that I didn’t raise my hand.” […] We thought we were going to have a great time, but the judges somehow saw it in a different light.
“They took away my big moment, the bastards.”
