They were celebrating New Years Eve at El Squid Roe in Cabo San Lucas. The video shows White appearing to say something to Anne, who reacts by slapping him. She then pats him on the back before the couple part ways.

“I’m one of the guys who says there is never, ever an excuse for a man to put his hands on a woman and now here I am on TMZ talking about it.

‘This is one of those situations that is horrible. I’m ashamed. We have three children and since the video came out, we have shown the children and we are more focused on our family at the moment.

‘People are going to have their opinions on this and people’s opinions would be correct, especially in my case. You never put your hands on a woman.

TMZ quotes his wife Anne as saying, “To say this is out of character for him is an understatement, nothing like this has ever happened before.”

“Unfortunately, we both had too much to drink on New Year’s Eve and things got out of hand, on both sides. We talk about this as a family and apologize to each other.

In 2014, White said that there is no going back for UFC fighters who were violent towards women.

“There’s one thing you never get over and that’s putting your hands on a woman,” he said. ‘It’s been like that in the UFC since we started here. You don’t recover from laying your hands on a woman.

Where White goes from here will be the focus of intense scrutiny in the coming days.

The next UFC card is scheduled for January 14 in Las Vegas, where you’d normally be expected to attend in person.

“My legacy and all these other things with the job mean nothing to me,” White added. It’s all about your family. It’s about your wife and kids.
