UFC champ Israel Adesanya explains why he calls Meta billionaire Mark Zuckerberg ‘007’ as he makes his pre-fight sex ban public
- Adesanya says Zuckerberg is just an ordinary guy
- Calls him ‘007’ because of his wakeboard thresholds
- Says he abstains from sex before UFC fights
UFC middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya has revealed the reason behind his bizarre nickname for Mark Zuckerberg and why he doesn’t want to have sex before competing just days after his title fight at UFC 293.
‘The Last Stylebender’ returns to action against controversial rival Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in Sydney with hopes of a sixth title defense of his crown.
Adesanya is currently the fifth best fighter in the world according to the UFC rankings and has proven himself to be one of the best forwards to ever fight in the promotion.
On Wednesday morning, Adesanya revealed that he abstains from sex before his fights, but that hasn’t always been the way.
“When I was younger I didn’t really care because I had that power,” he continued The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned a lot about semen retention and memory and things like that.”
“I like to keep my life force to myself until I want to bless someone with it.”
The Nigerian-born New Zealander also spoke about his relationship with Meta billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, who is training for a much-hyped cage fight with Elon Musk.
The billionaire duo flirts with the possibility of a superfight that UFC president Dana White thinks would generate more than $1 billion in revenue, and Adesanya tips Zuckerberg to win.
“He is a smart man,” Adesanya told radio hosts Fitzy & Wippa.
“Look what he’s done with his life. If he feels like something, he can get it done.’
“And you saw when he took off his shirt – I thought, what the hell!”
When asked what Zuckerberg was like outside of practice, Adesanya described him as a regular guy after going on a wakeboarding trip with the billionaire.

Controversy magnet Sean Strickland says his UFC 293 opponent Adesanya is stuck and needs to get off his high horse
‘He’s just a man. He’s just an ordinary guy. Even on the wakeboard he was just shredding – I thought that’s motherf**king 007!’
Adesanya went on to say that he doesn’t think the billionaires’ fight will take shape because Musk doesn’t really want to fight.
Meanwhile, Strickland is planning a setback this weekend against an opponent he doesn’t have much time for.
“He’s (Adesanya) just a guy with a lot of money trying to be a superstar,” Strickland said.
“He doesn’t care about me, doesn’t care about you, doesn’t care about the world.
“People care about the perception we project. And the perception Izzy gives off is that he’s a superstar.
‘He is stuck. I’ve heard people say inside the organization, outside the organization, that people like me because I’m authentic.
‘I don’t wear a pearl necklace. I don’t drive a BMW. I don’t wear designer clothes. So people like me because I represent them.
“People don’t like Izzy because he thinks he’s better than everyone else: the way he dresses, the way he talks, the way he acts.
“If there’s anything Izzy could learn from me, it’s to get off your high horse, people will like you a little more.”
