Hurley led the school to their fifth national championship with a dominant 76-59 victory over San Diego State in April.

He has revived the team so far in his five years there and has a 104-55 record.

But Hurley has been given the support to keep the Huskies back in the top-10 in the 2023-2024 season.

In the wake of the March Madness victory, the Huskies were invited to the White House where their victory was commemorated by President Biden.

“This team is proof that there is no quitting in UConn, just like there is no quitting in America,” Biden said.

After the game was over, it was also jokingly revealed that Hurley wore the same lucky underwear during every game of the NCAA Tournament.
