Uber drivers in London will get the chance to drive an ultra-luxury Lotus Eletre hyper-SUV – one of the most expensive and powerful electric cars in the world – this November.
Sports car maker Lotus has teamed up with Uber to promote its ride-hailing app’s green option and encourage zero-emission transport in the capital.
As a bonus, the passenger who collects the most ‘green’ miles before the end of November will win free Uber Green rides for ten years.
A fleet of Lotus Eletres – licensed and managed by Otto Cars – will join Uber in London for a limited time and will be available to passengers who select Uber Green.

The R trim has a whopping 905 hp and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.95 seconds, making it more powerful and faster than a Lamborghini Urus.

Uber Green is the zero-emission electric option that already accounts for almost 30 percent of Uber miles in London, supporting the capital’s move towards a cleaner, greener future.
And to encourage even greater use of electric vehicles in London, the app has also launched a special competition: the passenger who saves the most emissions by taking Uber Green rides by the end of November will win free Uber Green for ten years -rides.
The Eletre charges from 10-80% in just 20 minutes using a 350 kW DC ultra-fast charger
Passengers have until November 30 to top up their electric miles and all Uber drivers can track the emissions they’ve saved using the in-app Emissions Savings tool, which launched earlier this year.
