The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Saturday mourned with great sadness and sorrow the passing of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, as he prayed to Allah Almighty for to rest his soul in Paradise and grant him patience and comfort to the Al Sabah family, the State of Kuwait and its people.
The Presidential Court issued the following statement: With a heart that believes in the will and destiny of Allah, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns the passing of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber, who passed away today is deceased.
Following orders from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the UAE will observe a three-day state mourning from today, with the flag flying at half-mast at all UAE official departments, embassies and diplomatic missions outside the country.
