Ellis Zorro may have ended Hosea Burton’s boxing career with a brutal punch at Bethnal Green’s York Hall on Friday night before the event was marred by crowd trouble.

The 30-year-old struggled in the fight all the way to the seventh round, with Tyson Fury’s cousin Burton appearing to be leading at that stage.

However, as blood began to pour from both fighters and fatigue set in, Zorro pulled something from the last remnants of his being to produce a sensational ending.

With Burton having fallen once in the round and the referee ruling it not a knockdown, Zorro pushed him back into the ropes and produced a brutal right hand to lay him flat on the canvas.

As Zorro danced merrily around the ring, the referee knelt over Burton and called out the fight as his corner rushed in to provide care.

Fortunately for everyone involved, Burton got back on his feet soon after, and Zorro received congratulations from everyone associated with him.

Zorro’s own nose appeared broken, with his trainer having to remove blood from his face after the fight, showing the close-knit nature of the fight before producing a rather brilliant single right hand to end it as a match.

It marks arguably the biggest moment of Zorro’s career to date, as Burton, at age 34, is certain to retire, though he had said beforehand that if he lost, he would call it quits.

“If I can’t beat someone like that [Ellis Zorro], what good is it to be a boxer’, he had said before the fight. “I can earn more money by working.”

Meanwhile, the event at Bethnal Green’s famed York Hall was marred by crowd issues after the event.

Footage circulated on social media of a packed ring with team members leaning against the ropes and watching as fans threw chairs and fists at each other.

Stewards, filmed in the footage by another audience member sitting on the gallery above, tried in vain to stop the chaos, but were unsuccessful.

A chair thrown from close to the ring hit a person on the side of the head, causing him to fall to the floor in a crumbling heap.

Most of the people watching seemed to realize what had happened, with swear words heard in the circulating footage, while a man close to the injured person had to be restrained from confronting the perpetrator.

Stewards intervened to provide medical attention to the man as he lay flat on his back.
