Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk – Undisputed championship LIVE: Ring walk time, undercard results and round-by-round updates as unified champion can be crowned for the first time in 24 years
Fans claim Oleksandr Usyk is ‘cool as a cucumber’ ‘under Tyson Fury’s skin’
Tyson is Tyson? Or a marked man with just over 24 hours to go?
Fans on social media watched the weigh-in fracas with their sharp eyes and came down decisively on Team Usyk. A man of few words, calmness is the Ukrainian’s modus operandi, and it didn’t take much for him to maintain ice cube status alongside the foul-mouthed Fury.
Of course, I don’t believe in a total psychological collapse. But it’s always exciting to see fire and ice meet.
Friday’s weigh-in: the results
A slimmed-down Tyson Fury proved he’s not completely gone, weighing in at 262 pounds.
But that’s still 39 pounds more than his Ukrainian opponent, who reached his heaviest weight of his career at 223 pounds.
However, that wasn’t what most people thought after Michael Buffer incorrectly listed him at 233 pounds – a raised eyebrow of weak approval for many – only to correct the weight in viral images…
You can see it for yourself below.
There was no shortage of drama during last night’s weigh-in…
After a cool, calm press conference the day before, things looked suspiciously ready for a fight build-up with one Tyson Fury. That is, until he reached his final confrontation with Usyk.
The last time the pair tried to lock eyes and stare at each other, Fury had stared into the distance, prompting some to suggest he was upset. Not so on Friday evening, when the Gypsy King was eager to get up close and personal.
You can watch the tension boil over below and read the full details of what exactly Fury wants to do to the ‘little f*****’ tonight in our weigh-in report.

Hello and welcome to Mail Sport’s live report on the preparations for the big one: Tyson Fury’s showdown with Oleksandr Usyk to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
We’re still a long way from the historic fight – ring walks are scheduled for around 11 hours from now, at 11pm BST, but that could prove to be pie-in-the-sky timing – but there’s still a lot to catch between then and now.
