Tyson Fury reveals his dramatic body transformation after his undisputed title clash with Oleksandr Usyk was postponed… with the Gypsy King’s S&C coach revealing he was ‘stronger and leaner’ than ever!
Tyson Fury shared his phenomenal body transformation on social media after his undisputed title clash with Oleksandr Usyk was postponed.
The highly anticipated fight was due to take place in Riyadh on February 17, but was postponed after Fury suffered an injury during camp.
The Gypsy King suffered a serious cut above his right eye during sparring on Friday, which his promotional team has labeled a ‘freak cut’.
Fury and his team took to social media after the postponement was announced, saying they were devastated by the work they had done behind the scenes.
The Gypsy King’s S&C coach Kristian Blacklock said Fury was in the best shape of his life ahead of the Usyk fight – claiming he was ‘stronger and more learner’ than ever before.

Meanwhile, Fury – who shared a photo of his slimmed-down physique on Instagram – said Usyk would have been in ‘trouble’ in the fight for the fight to go ahead as planned.
Fury shared his body transformation online after the postponement was announced, posting a photo of himself standing in front of a mirror during his camp in Saudi Arabia.
The Gypsy King looked significantly leaner than when he fought former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in October 2023.
Fury – who told Mail Sport he would always be fat during an interview ahead of the Ngannou fight – was seen showing off abs as he tensed in the mirror selfie.
Fury wrote the following caption alongside the photo posted on Friday: “I can’t help but think I got hurt sparring, but what I can say was Usyk was in trouble.”
He added: ‘I’m in fantastic shape. I will make a new appointment as soon as possible. 2024 will be a great year for team GK.”
Fury’s S&C coach, Blacklock, responded: “As a team we had Tyson Fury in the best shape of his life as we quietly chipped away, stronger and leaner, but we will be ready if the fight is rescheduled.”
Fury’s love handles have become a trademark in the boxing world. However, many criticized the Gypsy King for being out of shape due to his fight with Ngannou
The transformation shocked fans as Fury had remained uncharacteristically quiet during camp and had hidden his weight from his Ukrainian opponent.
Fury’s love handles have become a trademark in the boxing world, an emblem of his unique charisma. However, many criticized the Gypsy King for being out of shape due to his fight with Ngannou.
Fury is known for being elusive in the ring and his powerful punches deliver spectacular knockouts. But he couldn’t do that against the former UFC heavyweight champion.
Regarding his weight ahead of that fight, Fury told Mail Sport: ‘It’s good to have a good body. I would like to have a good body. But I have no hope of having a good body.
‘I’ve been training for over twenty years and I still don’t have a good body. I’ve been in a training camp for the past twelve weeks and have been living like a monk, but I still don’t have a good body.
‘I didn’t have a good body when I was a teenager, let alone living to be 40 years old. But the one thing I learned is that this is not a bodybuilding competition.
“Although I don’t look like a man who can run long distances or twenty miles, I am a man who can.
Fury suffered a nasty laceration above his right eye, which has postponed his next fight
Fury said in an Instagram video that he was caught with an elbow that almost cost him the “biggest fight of his career.”
“I consider myself an old-fashioned guy who can go in there and argue, it doesn’t really matter what I look like. It’s about achieving victory.
‘If I had a 10-pack and I looked like Adonis – completely unbelievable and I didn’t win, then it’s pointless. So I don’t mind being fat.
“I embrace the fact that I’m fat because my love handles separate me from the rest of the world at some point in history. There has never been anyone like me and there never will be.
‘That makes me so tough and that makes me, me. If you said to me, “Okay Tyson, we’re going to give you the chance to get rid of the fat on you and we’re going to give you a full six-pack,” I wouldn’t take it because that’s not me.
‘I’m fat now, I was fat as a baby and I’ll be fat on my deathbed. We are all fat. Hughie is fat, Shane is fat, my dad is fat and even my mom is fat. I hope she’s not watching this. But we are a big family.
“He trains every day, my brother Hughie, unbelievable. He will run, train, box. I’m the same. Two to three times a day, inside or outside camp, but I’ve always been fat. Even when I arrived at 17stone this way, I still had love handles. It’s definitely my trademark.’
However, fans were concerned that Fury would fight Usyk if he didn’t lose weight. Ukrainian promoter Alex Krassyuk even said that the Gypsy King’s weight would determine the quality of their fight.
It appears Fury has taken the comments to heart as he has lost a significant amount of weight ahead of the undisputed title fight, which was due to take place on February 17.
Fury is confident he will arrive in the same form on the new date, May 18.
