Tyson Fury has launched an expletive-laden rant against famed podcast host Joe Rogan over a hypothetical showdown between the heavyweight boxing champion and UFC star Jon Jones.
The outburst was sparked by recent comments from Rogan suggesting the UFC legend would prevail in a hypothetical fight between the two athletes.
Fury, 34, took issue with 55-year-old Rogan’s comments on a podcast episode claiming that the Gypsy King would suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of MMA GOAT Jon Jones.
“You want to talk about who’s the meanest man on earth? If Jon Jones and Tyson Fury get locked in a room, I’ll put all my chips on black,” Rogan told comedian Andrew Schultz on the podcast.
“Tyson Fury is a great boxer – he has no chance of getting out of that room. He has no chance to get out of that room. Zero chance.
‘[Fury] ought to catch Jon immediately with one punch, and I just don’t see that happening, man.’

A defiant Fury believes he would emerge victorious and had no intention of letting Rogan’s prediction slip.
Rogan’s theory was based on the considerable threat posed by Jones’ ability to take him down. However, Fury vehemently disagreed with this assessment, unleashing a fiery reaction on social media as he paced his gym.
“I heard Joe Rogan say something about me, and I’ve been off all social media and haven’t responded to that little asshole, little asshole, bald-headed dwarf,” Fury said.
“I heard him say Jon Jones could fuck me if we were in the room together.
‘I do not think so. No man born of a mother could fuck me alone, in a room. Whatever happens in that room, I would walk out. No problem.’
Before this controversy erupted, the two seemed to share a friendly rapport, with Fury even appearing as a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience in 2018.
Nevertheless, Fury made sure to tag Rogan in an Instagram story to make sure the podcast host was aware of his displeasure.
Jones, the current number 1 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, responded to Fury’s tirade on Twitter. While praising the boxer’s prowess in the ring, he also highlighted the Gypsy King’s slim chances in the Octagon.

Jones even went so far as to invite Fury to contact UFC President Dana White if he wanted to settle the debate once and for all.
“Hey Tyson, looks like Joe has hit a nerve,” Jones said on Twitter. “I admit no one is touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage.”
Jon Jones has an impressive record of 27-1-1 and is widely regarded as the greatest UFC fighter of all time.
After successfully defending the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship 11 times, he vacated the title before winning the Heavyweight Championship against Cyril Gane on March 4.
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has entertained the idea of taking on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a 4-ounce gauntlet showdown.

The two fighters faced each other in the ring after Fury’s victory over Dillian Whyte, but plans for a match between them have since gone up in smoke.
In response to Fury’s recent outburst, Ngannou is now the most high-profile signing in the Professional Fighters League [PFL] history, the gypsy king recalled their previous meeting.
Fury has also expressed a desire to sign a new 10-fight contract following his retirement, non-retirement and knockout of Derek Chisora last December.
However, a title fight with fellow undefeated champion Oleksandr Usyk has yet to take place, prompting Fury to challenge promoter Frank Warren to give him a fight.
As for Jones, he is expected to defend his title against former champion Stipe Miocic, although an official date for the bout has not yet been confirmed by the UFC.
