Tyson Fury has hit out at Oleksandr Uysk’s manager Egis Klimas after accusing Fury of cowardice.
The highly anticipated showdown between Fury and Usyk to determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion in more than two decades was postponed earlier this week after Fury suffered a cut above his right eye during sparring.
Footage later emerged of a sparring session in which the Gypsy King appeared to have been hit with an elbow that could have caused the tear that required multiple stitches.
In the wake of the postponement, Usyk’s old manager branded Fury a coward and claimed he suffered the injury deliberately to avoid a confrontation with the Ukrainian.
“Tyson Fury is a coward who will do anything not to face Usyk, and he asked his dick to hit him in the forehead with a frying pan,” Klimas said.

‘You can quote me word for word for that. When the news was brought to Oleksandr, he just smiled. That’s all he did. He’s too mentally strong to break.’
With the clash now officially moved to May 18, Usyk and Klimas appeared alongside Fury on the MMA Hour, with Fury outraged by the manager’s comments.
“Egis, don’t ever call me a coward again,” Fury said. ‘I’ve had 35 professional fights, I’ve boxed 18 years of my life.
“I climbed off the canvas ten times after the biggest punches in history to win. Never a coward, never distanced myself from any man in my life.
‘And if a man calls my wife a b****, I’ll pull his damn teeth out.’
Klimas denied making any comments about Fury’s wife, and Tyson apologized but insisted his experience in the ring excludes him from claims of cowardice.
“I’ve been boxing all my life,” Fury continued.
‘You call me a coward. Never boxed in your life. How am I a coward? I’ve had 35 professional fights. I am a two-time undefeated heavyweight champion. I am the second longest reigning lineal champion in history. How am I a coward?’
