“He’s back in England, and we’re talking to him, and we’re looking for the best man available for him to fight in the UK this summer.”

The Top Rank promoter went on to say, “Maybe it will be Andy Ruiz [who faces Fury] or someone like that.’

Ruiz Jr. last stepped into the ring in September 2022 and defeated Luis Ortiz via unanimous decision.

With that win, the WBC ordered a fight between Ruiz Jr and Deontay Wilder as the final eliminator to determine Fury’s next mandatory challenger.

However, the title eliminator failed to materialize – with the Bronze Bomber taking on Francis Ngannou instead.

Ruiz Jr. could be a tough opponent for Fury as he pulled off a shock victory over Anthony Joshua in August 2019.

Joshua reclaimed his titles six months later, defeating Ruiz in their rematch after the Mexican admitted he had under-prepared for their fight.

Joshua achieved a 118-110, 118-110, 119-109 point victory against Ruiz – who weighed in at 283 pounds, 15 pounds heavier than their first fight.
