The boxing ban of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury from entering the United States has been confirmed by his brother Tommy after months of speculation.
Reports in June suggested Tyson, 34, was denied entry into the US because of his alleged ties to crime boss Daniel Kinahan, but he did not respond to calls for comment.
Now, former Love Island star Tommy has finally confirmed that both he and his brother are still being denied entry into the US. Tommy said on an MMA podcast today, ‘Me and Tyson just can’t get into America right now and that’s the way it is.’
The ban is said to be related to the Fury family’s ties to Irish boxing promoter Kinahan, who has been sanctioned by the US.
The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on Kinahan and the US State Department has also announced a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of three members of the Kinahan family.
The ban means WBC champion Tyson, who last fought in the United States before his trilogy meeting with Deontay Wilder in October 2021, will have to limit his fights to those in the UK or the Middle East.
Tommy, meanwhile, asks American YouTuber boxer Jake Paul to fight him in a British stadium to finally make their long-awaited fight happen.

Asked directly about ‘the Kinahan situation’ on the MMA Fighting on SBN podcastTommy said, ‘I don’t know (what’s happening), I pay my lawyers and my legal team for that every day, they’re sorting it out and I said please get this resolved as soon as possible and that’s where I am’ have left it at the moment.
“I hope it gets resolved as soon as possible because I don’t want to come to America just for boxing and of course for the big one to get this fight over the line, but if it’s not resolved for a long time I can’t speak about that.” about how long this is going to take… But let’s just say it’s a long time, let’s talk about this. I will fight that man anywhere, I don’t care. I’m ready to go.’
Addressing claims that Irish boxing promoter Kinahan runs a global organized crime group, Tyson previously said, “That’s none of my business and I’m not meddling in anyone else’s business.”
Tyson, who was photographed in Dubai in February this year with US-sanctioned Kinahan, said: “Because I got my picture taken with a man, I’m not a criminal yet.
“I’m just a boxer. There could be a criminal in this building.”

Kinahan has been named by the Dublin Supreme Court as a leading figure in organized crime and in April of this year the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on him, his father Christy Kinahan and brother Christy Kinahan Jr, as well as several associates of the family. kinahan.
Kinahan has advised Tyson Fury in the past, but Fury has not been charged with any criminal activity. Tommy says his own ‘name got confused’.
“I can’t go into America, not even now, I can’t go to America,” he added.
Forget the boxing talk, America is my favorite place to go: the food, the weather, everything, the people, I love America. I love all things America and it has kept me from going there. In my personal life, me and Ms (girlfriend Molly Mae Hague) like to go to New York around Christmas – you can’t.
“We can’t do some things right now. So boxing isn’t the only thing affected. But that’s the same now, I can’t get into America and that’s why the fight didn’t happen.
“I don’t believe there is anyone in this country who wouldn’t come to that fight. I think it would break all records. We could certainly draw 70,000.’
