Tyrese Gibson arrested after failing to make monthly $10K child support payments as he is held in contempt of court
Tyrese Gibson has been arrested after he failed to pay his ex Samantha Lee’s $10,000 monthly child support as ordered by a judge.
TMZ reports that Gibson, who has a five-year-old daughter Soraya with Lee, was held in contempt of court Monday morning during a hearing in the case.
According to the outlet, Judge Kevin Farmer was upset over Gibson’s refusal to make the $10,000 monthly alimony payments the actor was due to make starting in April 2023.
Farmer held Gibson for contempt of court on Monday and the Fast & Furious actor was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom by a bailiff, TMZ reports.
The judge offered Gibson a chance to resolve the issue and avoid jail time if he paid $73,000, which includes Samantha’s attorney fees, which totaled $7,500.

TMZ reports that Gibson has made payments to Lee, but not the $10,000 amount a judge ordered him to pay last year.
According to the outlet, Gibson will pay his ex approximately $2,200 every month starting in 2023.
Insiders told TMZ that Gibson is currently in the process of arranging the $73,000 payment.
