Tyreek Hill’s dramatic run-in with police takes new twist as ANOTHER Dolphins player Calais Campbell reveals he was also placed in handcuffs

A second Miami Dolphins player said he was pulled over outside Hard Rock Stadium this morning while trying to break up a confrontation between teammate Tyreek Hill and police.

Miami defensive back Calais Campbell said after the Dolphins’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that Hill wasn’t the only one being handcuffed a block away from the stadium.

“I felt like him putting handcuffs on me was a way of doing it. But that just shows how resilient we are. We didn’t let that stop us,” Campbell said in a post-game interview.

During an altercation with police, Hill was pinned down and handcuffed to the ground after being taken into custody. The wide receiver was allegedly speeding in his sports car.

Hill later mimicked the police incident when he scored a touchdown from 80 yards by holding his hands behind his back as if he was under arrest.

In a shocking video, Hill even appears to have been beaten without provocation by an officer after he was found handcuffed on the sidewalk just one block from the stadium.

While driving to the game, the 30-year-old was ordered to pull over about a block away from Hard Rock after being issued a ticket for “reckless driving,” according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

Hill was subsequently held to the ground and led away in handcuffs after an alleged altercation with an officer, before being released by police shortly afterward. Several of his Miami teammates reportedly stopped by to de-escalate the situation.

One of those teammates was believed to be Campbell.

After the ordeal, both went to Hard Rock Stadium as planned and started the game for Miami as expected.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Miami-Dade police confirmed they will review all details surrounding Hill’s arrest, including bodycam footage of the incident.

Director Stephanie V. Daniels said, “We are aware of the recent arrest of Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill by officers of the Miami-Dade Police Department. I have requested an immediate review of all details surrounding the incident and we are reviewing available body camera footage.

‘We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.’

The Dolphin’s statement read: “This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was stopped for a traffic incident approximately one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released.

‘Several teammates witnessed the incident and stopped to offer support.

‘Tyreek and all other players involved have arrived safely at the stadium and will be available for today’s match.’

Although his client has been released, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, described the incident as a “heartbreaking situation” that was “completely unnecessary” and said action will be taken.
