Tyreek Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus demands police officers who arrested NFL star are FIRED after their ‘horrendous’ treatment
Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill, is calling on the police officers who detained his client to be fired following his shocking arrest on Sunday.
According to official citations, Hill was cited for reckless driving and failure to wear a seat belt. The two charges do not require a court appearance and together carry a fine of $308.
Those documents show that Hill was driving at a high speed, which the visual estimate is to have been about 60 mph, in an area with heavy traffic, including pedestrians and other vehicles.
After detaining Hill’s McLaren, officers pulled him out of the car and forced him to the ground, with one of the officers kneeling in the wide receiver’s back.
Rosenhaus, who was a guest on “The Dan Le Batard Show” on Tuesday, was asked what the department should do after the bodycam footage was made public on Monday night.

Fines have been issued against Hill for reckless driving and driving without a seat belt
“I personally feel that the officers who did that to Tyreek should not have been in that position,” Rosenhaus said as the bodycam footage was played.
“They should be released. Look at — the guy who just kicked him over there. That guy should be fired. That’s out of control.
The Man Who Jumped In [and] to put him in a chokehold? There is no place for a police officer to have a badge that functions like that if Tyreek wasn’t aggressive or violent or fighting back in any way.
“It was horrible the way they treated him. They didn’t treat him like a human being.”
Rosenhaus declined to comment on whether Hill believes the officers should be fired, saying, “I’ll let Tyreek speak to that. That’s my opinion. He and I haven’t had that specific conversation.
“But I would definitely recommend Tyreek and the legal team to do that.
“You know, I think he deserves an apology from all the police officers involved.
‘And in my opinion, those who abused their authority and power should no longer work for the police.’
Aftermath of Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s arrest continues
Hill was ticketed for reckless driving and driving without a license before a race on Sunday
The wideout claims he was mistreated by Miami-Dade police because he is black. He has amplified those claims in other media outlets, including CNN and NBC, where he shared his perspective on the situation.
The police were criticized by the Miami Dolphins organization, who called the video “both maddening and heartbreaking.”
The team pledged to support Hill and called for “swift and forceful action” against the officers who engaged in “excessively aggressive,” “violent” and “despicable” behavior.
Social media reactions to the incident were overwhelmingly in Hill’s favor, with most posts critical of the Miami-Dade Police Department’s handling of the situation and accusing the department of racism.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III reposted the footage, saying, “This level of aggression and demeaning behavior was not necessary. This is an outrageous use of power.”
FOX Sports analyst and former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho also shared the footage, calling it “about as disgusting as you’d expect.”
In another post, Acho called the police officers “disgusting” and said, “If the images don’t make you angry, you need to feel your pulse.”
Michael Eaves, an Emmy-winning journalist and SportsCenter host, wrote: “For those of you who are somewhat surprised by the bodycam footage of Tyreek Hill’s situation, you were clearly never guilty of driving while black.”
The reaction to the incident on social media was overwhelming on the Dolphins receiver’s side
Miami Herald writer and guest on the “Dan Le Batard Show” Greg Cote said, “Tyreek Hill got caught driving while black. That was his crime. It was a gross overreaction by the police. I just thought it was an abuse of power.”
Body camera footage released Monday night captured police chasing Hill and pulling over his McLaren 720S outside Hard Rock Stadium.
Hill rolled down his window and gave the police his license. He told them not to knock on his windows and to “just give me a ticket, mate, I’m going to be late, just do what you gotta do.”
At that point, Hill rolled his window back up, as the officers told him to roll it back down.
Officers then tell Hill to get out of the car. One of them says, “I’m going to break that damn window.”
The wide receiver responded, “I’m just going to step out,” but before Hill had a chance to open the door, officers yanked it open and dragged him from his car.
Hill later told CNN that he rolled his window back up so bystanders wouldn’t recognize him during the entire event.
Police officers ripped open Hill’s car door and dragged him out, the footage shows.
“I try not to cause a scene because if I open my window, passersby and motorists will know it’s me and they’ll start taking pictures,” he said.
“I didn’t want to make a scene at all. I just wanted to get the ticket and then go out and have a great Sunday.”
Hill added: “It was crazy – I was a father, I was a husband. I just put myself in that ssituation (thinking): Hey, I had to be smart. That’s why I wasn’t really at that kind of energy. I was just chilling, following rules.’
After dragging Hill from the car and laying him on the ground, he was heard on the phone telling Rosenhaus, “I’m going to make an arrest, Drew.”
“When we tell you to do something, you do it. You understand? Not what you want, but what we tell you. You’re a little f****** confused,” one officer told him.
Officers were heard telling the NFL star to “stop crying” after they dragged him from his car and laid him face down in the road.
Hill was eventually released and played Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars
At least one officer who pulled Hill over did not know who the wide receiver was. Another officer had to inform him.
“Why is he acting like that?” an officer asked, as Hill shouted in the background. “Do you know who that is?
His colleague, who was believed to be the first officer to approach Hill’s car after it was pulled over, replied, “No?”
They were then told it was “one of the Dolphins’ star players,” to which they replied, “Oh yeah?”
Minutes earlier, the wide receiver was handcuffed near Hard Rock Stadium while driving to the Dolphins’ season opener against Jacksonville. “Take me to jail … do what you have to do,” Hill told officers.
He was released instead, but the 30-year-old has previously speculated about what would have happened to him if he hadn’t been a big-name NFL star.
He told NBC, “If I hadn’t been Tyreek Hill, God knows… the worst case scenario would be I’d have been shot or locked up.”
A Florida police union alleged that Hill was driving dangerously when he was pulled over Sunday and that he was handcuffed after refusing to cooperate. Hill said He has ‘no idea’ what prompted his arrest.

“Do you know who that is?” one officer asked his colleague, who simply replied, “No?”
Hill was released minutes later, but not before his teammate Calais Campbell was also handcuffed.
After the game, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was nearly moved to tears as he told reporters, “The thing that bothers me the most, honestly, is I know I don’t know exactly… I don’t know what that feels like.”
Over the weekend, Miami-Dade police announced that an officer has been placed on administrative duties pending an internal investigation.
Hill has previous convictions for domestic violence, was investigated for another crime in 2023, and was also investigated for possible child abuse.
He has also admitted to having ten children and that two paternity lawsuits were filed against him in 2023. However, he claims he provides for all of them.
