Tyreek Hill has revealed that Miami Dolphis head coach Mike McDaniel drafted him following the team’s wild-card playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year.
The 30-year-old wideout had five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in the 26-7 rout of Miami in January, but apparently didn’t do enough, according to his head coach, as he faced McDaniel’s wrath after then-Chiefs cornerback L .’Jarius Sneed knocked him to the ground in one fell swoop.
Hill, recalling McDaniel’s anger at the time, said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast: “The play against Sneed. The Chiefs, everyone sees this game against the Chiefs. When the bastard knocked me to the ground? He called me out.
“He said, ‘Reek, man, you’re supposed to be the best damn player in the damn league, and you’ve got this guy putting his hands all over you like that.
“We’re paying you all this money, for what?”

Now, nearly three months after the Dolphins’ elimination from the NFL playoffs, Hill vowed to work on his overall play this season as McDaniel’s criticism lingers in his mind.
“For me, I like that kind of stuff. I’m going to hear that shit and I’m going to be better for it. That’ll never happen again in my life, man. You feel me?’ Hill continued.
“If some motherfucker can’t hold me accountable, I feel like I’m gonna get better, you know what I mean? Of course the coach can bypass that, you know what I mean, and just say, ‘Ah, it’ll make him better.’
“But if he doesn’t say anything, like the other guys in the locker room, they’ll look at it like, ‘Oh, if Reek can do it, I can do it too.’ And that doesn’t make the team any better. Hill added.
Another top wide receiver could join the Dolphins before the fall to reduce the workload on Hill, as Odell Beckham Jr. “visited” the team’s facilities last month, according to several reports.
Beckham Jr. However, has not yet signed a contract with Miami, despite registered interest. The 31-year-old wide receiver is currently a free agent after leaving the Baltimore Ravens.+
Hill is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with a social media influencer for allegedly breaking her leg after allegedly attacking her during a “playful” football game at his Miami mansion.
