Tyreek Hill drops major hint over his next NFL team amid Dolphins fallout

Tyreek Hill fueled trade speculation Thursday when he teased an NFL team road trip to town.

The Dolphins receiver bombastically claimed he was “out” of Miami after the team’s Week 18 loss, after which he quit — though GM Chris Grier later said they had a “productive” meeting in which the receiver did not ask for a exchange early.

However, on Thursday, Hill caught the attention of Buccaneers fans when he suggested he would travel to Tampa.

“The 3-hour drive to Tampa will be a breeze,” he said wrote.

It’s not clear why or when Hill would go to Tampa, and the Buccaneers won’t play there this weekend after being eliminated in the Wild Card round in the postseason.

Mail Sport has contacted Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, for comment.

It’s not the first time Hill has taken issue with a cryptic X-post, as he wrote on the platform last month: “It’s time for me to start coaching.”

After the Dolphins’ 32-20 loss to the Jets in the regular season finale, Hill spoke about his time in South Florida in the past tense.

“I just have to do what’s best for me and my family,” Hill said. “If that’s here, or anywhere, I’ll open that door for myself. I open the door. I’m gone, brother.

“It’s been great playing here, but at the end of the day, mate, I’ve got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to just step outside of that.’

Soon after, Hill took to social media and did little to dampen the flames as he wrote, “Love fin nation bless you all opened doors for the Hill family forever nothing but respect and love.”

The speedy wideout, who has been dealing with a wrist injury all season, admitted to making a business decision in the regular season finale when it became clear the Broncos would beat the Chiefs (the Dolphins needed a Broncos loss to clinch the postseason to sneak).

“It’s just one of those problems, man, where you know, you look at the scoreboard and the Chiefs are down [to the Broncos] and it’s like, okay,” he said.

Coach Mike McDaniel also said after the game that he was not informed of Hill’s new injury, saying he was told the player was “unavailable” just before a second-half drive.

“I think my focus at that point was on the players and I didn’t take the time to find out more about that,” he said. “There were guys on the field competing, we were trying to win a game, so my focus was there.”

Hill, 30, is under contract with the Dolphins through 2026 after signing a three-year, restructured deal worth $90 million ahead of the 2024 season.
