Tyreek Hill claims controversial detainment caused him to suffer serious injury
Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill revealed he re-aggravated a wrist injury during his controversial Week 1 arrest.
Before the Dolphins’ opening day game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hill was stopped, pulled from his car and handcuffed near Hard Rock Stadium.
Bodycam footage of the incident was later released and showed excessive force used by Miami-Dade officers as they pinned Hill to the ground. Since Hill did not appear to resist, the video sparked outrage among the masses.
Ahead of Miami’s Week 10 Monday Night Football game against the LA Rams, Hill told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he is dealing with a torn ligament in his wrist. He also noted that the injury was again aggravated by his encounter with the officers.
“He said it’s something he’s been dealing with all season,” Salters said on air. He said it first started in training camp, but then he said it worsened again when he was arrested right before the opening game of the season.

“He was taken to the ground by police,” she added. “He said that’s where the further damage was done.”
“Tyreek said he had an MRI and the MRI showed he has a torn ligament that he says he is playing through. He said, “I just really don’t know what to do because I’ve never really been hurt before. I keep playing. Nothing will stop me,” Salters continued.
Despite the injury, Cheetah geared up for Miami’s showdown with LA on Monday night.
Over their last eight games, Hill struggled with just 34 receptions for 446 yards and one touchdown. His only trip to the end zone came hours after his arrest when the Dolphins defeated the Jaguars 20-17.
