Tyreek Hill arrives safely at Hard Rock Stadium for Miami Dolphins’ game against the Bills… four days after being thrown to the ground by furious cop
Tyreek Hill successfully avoided any pregame drama on his way to Hard Rock Stadium for tonight’s game against the Bills, arriving without incident just four days after his dramatic traffic stop.
The Miami Dolphins star was dragged from his car and pinned to the ground by a police officer the last time he drove to Hard Rock Stadium, but he has now successfully found his way to the parking lot for the Week 2 game.
All eyes were on Hill to ensure a similar situation did not occur again on Thursday night, after making headlines all week following his dramatic incident on Sunday afternoon.
Hill was apprehended by police, dragged from his car, pinned to the ground and handcuffed before he went to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Police bodycam footage shows the full extent of the situation.
Hill claimed Wednesday that representatives of the officer responsible for his arrest “tried to apologize, but we refused.” But on Thursday, the story took another bizarre turn.
The officer’s name is Danny Torres and his attorneys have since contradicted Hill, stating: “Neither Officer Torres, nor his legal representatives, attorneys or anyone speaking on his behalf, has had any contact with Mr. Hill, his attorney or his representatives.”
Torres has been suspended while the incident is investigated. Since then, a heated debate has erupted on social media over whether Hill was wrong for the role he played in it.
Hill demanded that the officer be fired for what he described as “excessive” force against him.

“After a careful and thorough review of the numerous body cams and videos from concerned citizens that captured the unfortunate events of Sunday, September 8, 2024 between several Miami-Dade Police Department officers and Tyreek Hill, we are requesting the immediate termination of the officer who has been placed on administrative leave,” Hill said in a statement through attorney Julius B. Collins.
But the Dolphins star player also admitted he should have acted differently.
When asked if he could have cooperated more with police, the 30-year-old said: “I have family members who are police officers. We’ve had conversations. Yes, I will say I could have been better. I could have rolled down my window at that point.
“The thing about me is I don’t want attention. I don’t want cameras coming out, phones pointed at you at that moment.
‘But at the end of the day, I’m only human. I have to follow the rules and do what anyone would do.
“Does that give them the right to literally beat the living daylights out of me? Absolutely not. But ultimately I wish I could go back and do things a little differently.”
On Sunday, Hill was released in time to face the Jaguars. He scored an 80-yard touchdown that helped Miami secure a 20-17 victory. The wideout celebrated the score by pretending to be in handcuffs.
