Tyra Banks revealed how she really feels about Julianne Hough filling her shoes.
In an interview with us weeklyThe 49-year-old supermodel expressed her approval of the 34-year-old Dancing With The Stars alum returning to the show to assume her hosting role for the upcoming season alongside Alfonso Ribeiro.
Earlier this month, The America’s Next Top Model veteran announced that she would be leaving the reality show after three seasons to focus on her other business ventures.
“The businesswoman in me sees how great Julianne is on multiple levels,” the Life-Size actress said after revealing she would not be hosting season 32.
“He has so much personality and strong opinions backed by experience,” Banks added. ‘She is a perfect choice! She’ll crush him!’

The businessman went on to gush about the actress and her apt credentials, making her a standout choice as a host.
She is a professional dancer. she is derek’s sister [Hough]a multi-time DWTS champion, who is now a star judge,’ Banks said.
“It’s going to be a family affair in that ballroom that people will love to see,” he added.
She also talked to the magazine about all aspects and her many co-stars that she will miss working with on the show.
He mentioned Carrie Ann Inaba, as well as Ribeiro, who will co-host the competition show with the Footloose actress.
“I will miss Carrie Ann’s kindness and warm heart and, of course, reminiscing with Alfonso about the good days of Fresh Prince.
“I used to love going out every week in over-the-top outfits to a highly publicized ballroom,” Banks revealed.
“Watching Derek Hough dance in person was a treat,” he added, noting that he’ll miss his “amazing mind blowing.”
She is co-hosting DWTS: Hough seen on March 16 in Beverly Hills.
A source revealed to Us Weekly that Banks loved working at DWTS and with ABC so much that she reportedly has upcoming projects slated for launch with the network.
“Tyra thoroughly enjoyed her time making DWTS and working with everyone involved, from production to network executives, cast, fans, and of course, Alfonso,” the source revealed.
“Tyra has a very strong working relationship with ABC and has upcoming projects in the pipeline with the network.”
On March 20, the new driver said in a statement to Variety: ‘It is a great honor to rejoin Dancing with the Stars as a co-host.
“The show holds such a special place in my heart for the many years and different roles I have been privileged to be a part of,” she added.
Hough then shared: ‘The amazing team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the last 17 years.
I’m so excited to meet Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the incredibly talented pros and amazing cast on the dance floor.
“The energy is magnetic every time you step foot in the ballroom and I can’t wait to feel it again, and of course, to share it with the best and most loyal fans, for another exciting season.”
Professional Dancing Brothers: The Footloose actress, who previously appeared on DWTS Seasons 4 and 5, will return to the dance competition show as a co-host, while her brother Derek Hough will serve as a judge.
Hough began working on Dancing With The Stars as a professional dancer in 2007.
He won during the fourth season with Apolo Anton Ohno and then again during the fifth season with Hélio Castroneves.
Hough left DWTS in 2009, but returned in 2014 as a judge, before leaving again in 2017. She appeared as a guest judge on the show in 2021.
Banks began hosting the show in 2020 when she replaced Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
The site spoke to Banks as she was leaving the Whole Foods market in Santa Monica, California.
“I feel like it’s really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more television, but behind the scenes,” he told the site.

When asked if he would really be leaving the hit dance show, he asked a question.
‘Don’t you think it’s time? Yeah, I think it’s time,” she said.
She then explained: ‘I am an entrepreneur at heart.
“I think my heart, my soul, is in my business, also in producing new TV shows,” he said; she is also a producer for DWTS.
“But I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that by hosting a show.”
