Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass didn’t avoid responsibility when asked about missing a 44-yard field goal wide in the final two minutes against the Kansas City Chiefs.
A successful field goal attempt would have tied the AFC Divisional round game. Instead, Bass ended his team’s season by dragging the kick outside the goalposts.
“It’s all on me,” Bass said after the game.
Bass added that the snap was good and the grip on the kick was great. Reading between the lines only adds to Bass’ statement that it was all on him.
Bass made his only other field goal attempt of the game from 27 yards out.

After the game, Bills quarterback Josh Allen ran into Bass while walking back to the locker room and gave him a big hug.
“I wish it wouldn’t have gotten into that situation,” Allen said of Bass. ‘You win as a team, you lose as a team. One game doesn’t define a game, it doesn’t define a season.”
“I know there will be people who say that,” Allen continued. “We have to be there for him because again, we’re making a few plays before and probably signing a different tune now.”
