Tyla showed off a serious swagger on Sunday as she accepted the Global Impact Award at Billboard’s R&B No. 1s bash in New York City.

The 22-year-old Water star wore her embellished pins in a black lace dress with an intricate web corset design, a V-neck and a pleated hem.

To complete her outfit, Tyla wore a pair of quirky black and white faux fur flip-flops embellished with diamante trim.

The singer also wore statement earrings and a gorgeous makeup palette, consisting of a striking winged eyeliner and a nude lipstick.

At the awards ceremony, Tyla exuded confidence and happily accepted her award.

‘This is crazy, that I’m being put in the spotlight tonight, what does it matter, but thank you very much anyway.’

“I remember everyone thinking this was impossible, especially where I come from.”

“The fact that I can be here today and make a dream come true that I never felt was real is just a beautiful thing to experience.”

‘Thank you to everyone who wants to know more about other cultures and other styles of music and who really appreciates and loves it for what it is.’

“Because it’s not just a trend, it’s not just a dance move, it’s not just a sound, it’s culture.”

“I want to thank everyone who appreciates this and I want to thank you for the Billboard award.”

This comes after Tyla showed her admirable professionalism earlier this year when she continued her performance at Spotify Beach in Cannes, France, after sustaining a minor injury.

The singer also wore a pair of statement earrings and an impeccable makeup palette consisting of a bold winged eyeliner and a nude lipstick.

The singer had to postpone her performance after getting nail glue in one of her eyes.

When she finally came on stage, she told the audience, “I went to the hospital and I came back,” Page Six.

She added: ‘A lot has happened, but I’m here and I’m going to have fun with you guys. The energy is great.’

The event, which was part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, also featured sets from Shaboozey and John Legend.

She also used Instagram to share her message to her fans, where she has 8.7 million followers.

For the event, the petite musician showed off her toned legs in a cargo skirt with a fold-over waistband.

The fashionista also wore a skimpy black sleeveless bodysuit with wide cutouts and a multi-colored triangle bra.
