A two-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a family dog in Adelaide.
The toddler was bitten on the face around 1:30pm Monday on Camilla Avenue in the suburb of Osborne, 15 miles north of Adelaide’s CBD, South Australia police said.
The child was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital with superficial facial injuries.
The little girl’s father told her 7NEWS he heard a growl and found the dog attacking his daughter.
Community Safety Officers from the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council later removed the dog from the home.

“The owner surrendered the dog and it was immediately removed from the premises,” a spokesman said.
Neighbor Anthony Dear said that “the ambos were just pulling up when I was pulling up,” and that the dog was still there at the time.
A spokesman for South Australia Police said: “The council is now reviewing the matter.”
