Two-year-old girl dies after being found unconscious in a hot car in Eungella, Central Queensland

A two-year-old girl has died after being found unconscious in a hot car parked outside a Central Queensland home.

Emergency services were called to the rural property on Bee Creek Road in Eungella, 80 kilometers west of Mackay, at 2.20pm on Sunday after a toddler was reported unresponsive.

Paramedics immediately performed CPR on the toddler, who was in a critical condition but were unable to revive the two-year-old despite their efforts.

The temperature in Eungella rose to 32 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
