Two women hauled off British Airways flight after a ‘brawl broke out at Heathrow over a passenger wearing a Donald Trump MAGA hat’: Plane held on tarmac for hours
Two women were taken off a British Airways flight after a fight reportedly broke out over a passenger wearing a Donald Trump MAGA baseball cap.
The incident happened as passengers waited at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 to board the BA191 flight to Austin, Texas, on October 28. Sun reports.
A woman told another female passenger to take off the red hat she was wearing with presidential candidate Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) slogan on it.
When the Trump supporter refused, punches were reportedly thrown. The brawl continued on board, in the plane’s premium economy, where both women were seated.
Police were called and the women – who were still shouting insults at each other – were escorted off the plane.

The brawl kept the plane on the tarmac for two hours. The flight was scheduled to depart at 12.10pm but did not leave Heathrow until 2.11pm.
Neither woman was arrested, but they both reportedly accused each other of fighting while being questioned by police.
A source at Heathrow airport told the Sun that tensions were “sky high” so close to the US election on November 5.
“The flight crew couldn’t risk a full impact at 30,000 feet,” the source said as the reason the woman was removed from the plane.
The source went on to say that there had been no similar incident involving a BA flight being delayed due to a baseball cap, making this brawl ‘extraordinary’.
Met Police described the women as one in her 40s and another in her 60s, the Sun reported. The investigation into the incident on the BA flight is still ongoing.
