Two people were injured after a knife-wielding maniac went on a stabbing spree at New York City’s Grand Central Station on Christmas Eve.
Sources told DailyMail.com that a 28-year-old man slashed two strangers with a knife during the apparently random attack just after 10pm at the busy tourist hotspot.
He stabbed a 48-year-old man in the wrist and a 26-year-old woman in the neck. They were each transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable conditions.
NYPD said officers received a 911 call at 10:15 p.m. and rushed to the scene of the accident, where they arrested the suspect. He has not yet been appointed.
No charges have yet been filed against the attacker, who remains in custody. He has three previous arrests for criminal conduct, beating a ticket and assaulting a police officer, sources told the newspaper New York Post.

It comes less than a week after Guatemalan migrant Sebastian Zapeta-Calil allegedly burned a stranger to death aboard a subway train on Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn’s Coney Island on Sunday morning.
Zapeta-Calil, 33, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with the gruesome murder, which was captured in chilling videos filmed by witnesses.

Meanwhile, homeless migrant Juan Jose Valencia allegedly attacked a rookie female officer at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan on Monday.
The 30-year-old Colombia native is accused of attacking the officer while shouting that he hates women who work in law enforcement, the Post reported.
He is accused of imitating the firing of a gun with hand gestures around 6:45 a.m. at the terminal entrance, law enforcement sources told the Post.
The rookie officer approached Valencia, who allegedly threatened her by saying he had a knife.
He is accused of tripping her as she tried to handcuff him before jumping on her as she hit the ground and throwing punches.

The officer called for reinforcements. Police arrived and were able to wrestle Valencia off her before handcuffing and detaining him. She was left in hospital with multiple injuries.
Valencia has been charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. NYPD told DailyMail.com that the officer was not one of their own and was likely a transportation official.
The alleged attacker has previously been charged with stalking and harassment, according to the Post.
