Two NBA players got into an ugly altercation during an international match on Saturday.
While France won a friendly match against Germany 90-66, Frenchman Evan Fournier and German Dennis Schroder had to be separated.
During a play in the second quarter, Schroder went to the basket and was fouled hard by Fournier.
Schroder walked over to his rival and placed his hands on his shoulders.
In response, Fournier put his hands around Schröder’s throat and strangled him, after which his teammates and referees dispersed them.

While the two players appeared to make up on the field, Fournier was sent off for his actions.
Fournier, a former Knicks player, is currently a free agent after spending half of his season in New York.
Midway through the season, he was traded along with Quentin Grimes, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacono and two second-round picks to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks.
Meanwhile, Schroder is entering his second season with the Brooklyn Nets.
He was acquired by Brooklyn along with Thaddeus Young in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie.
