Two minibike ‘gang’ suspects are arrested for attacking 90210’s Ian Ziering during brawl on Hollywood street

Los Angeles police arrested two minibike gang members believed to be involved in a motorcycle fight involving 90210 actor Ian Ziering.

Five months ago, Zierling, 60, and his daughter Mia, 12, were confronted by a gang of mini-bikers on Hollywood Boulevard — prompting the actor to exit his car and then escalate the confrontation.

LAPD confirmed Tuesday evening that they had arrested Jacob Esteban Hernandez, a 20-year-old male resident of Rosemead, and Angie Teresa Guizar, a 40-year-old female resident of Los Angeles.

Hernandez was booked for misdemeanor vandalism and Guizar was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. TMZ reported.

Authorities have reportedly cited videos of the incident, which took place in late 2023, as key pieces of evidence in the investigation, but none of the footage has directly led them to identify the suspects.

An incident statement from LAPD investigators said the altercation occurred around 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve while Ziering and his daughter were sitting in traffic in the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

“The confrontation began between the victim and one of the minibike riders over possible damage to his vehicle,” the statement said. “Three to four additional minibike riders jumped in and attacked the motorist.”

Now that arrests have been made, the case will be sent to the district attorney’s office and a decision will be made as to whether or not charges will be filed.

Ziering shared a moving update with his fans on Instagram the day after the shocking attack.

“Yesterday I witnessed an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes,” Ziering wrote on Instagram on January 1.

‘While stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively approached by one of these drivers, leading to a disturbing confrontation.’

‘To assess any damage, I got out of my car. This action unfortunately escalated into a physical altercation, which I went through to protect myself.”

Ziering confirmed that he and his daughter were “unharmed” but said he was concerned about the “growing boldness” of such groups.

He went on to say that the brawl highlighted a wider problem of ‘hooliganism’ on the streets and the ‘need for effective law enforcement responses to such behaviour’.

“I have always been an advocate of standing up to harassment and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety,” Ziering continued in the Instagram caption.
