Fer-arrgh-i! Watch as two Ferrari drivers fly through the air and crash while trying to take corners at high speed while racing against each other in Italy
- A Dutchman, 56, and a Belgian, 46, were racing against each other in the Ancona region
- The vacationers lost control of the supercars and crashed into a nearby villa
- They avoided serious injury, but one car caught fire and was totally destroyed
This is when a pair of Ferrari drivers flew through the air and crashed after taking a corner at high speed while racing against each other in Italy.
Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment when the daring duo, a 56-year-old Dutchman and a 46-year-old Belgian, chased each other down the country lanes of Osimo in Ancona when they both took a corner way too fast.
The cars – worth a total of £500,000 – hit a bump and flew through the air before crashing into a nearby villa.
The first Ferrari – a red 296 GTB – rammed head-on into the villa wall and suffered considerable damage.
But the other – a blue F12 Berlinetta – sailed even further, bulldozed through the gate of the villa and caught fire almost immediately.

One driver seems to get out of the red Ferrari unscathed, but the second dragged along with difficulty out of the smoking blue Ferrari, staggered over to his friend and collapsed.
Moments later, orange flames were seen snaking out from under the hood of the F12 and quickly whipping up into a terrifying blaze that consumed the vehicle.
Ambulance crews and firefighters rushed to the scene of the crash via Molino Basso, close to the La Coccinella shopping center in Osimo.
An air ambulance was also deployed, according to local media, given the magnitude of the crash.
The men were taken to a hospital in the regional capital Ancona, but miraculously suffered only minor injuries.
A female passenger traveling in one of the cars was also largely unharmed.

Regional newspaper Ancona today reported that a total of 118 emergency responders were forced to attend the incident, with several firefighters fighting to extinguish the burning vehicle.
The F12 was reduced to a burnt-out shell by the time the fire was extinguished, and debris was scattered around the villa’s grounds, including in the swimming pool.
The drivers, who were reportedly on holiday to visit friends in the region, reportedly face a hefty fine, which could be increased as investigations into the speed at which they were driving continue.
