Weeks before the brutal kidnapping, Hartouni had been approached by an unknown man while she was out with her dog. The man claimed that her shepherd belonged to a friend of his, and then the man started following her.

Hartouni believes she was “watched.”

“He saw the dog and for some reason wanted the dog. I don’t think it was a friend’s dog. It was an excuse, a made-up story,” she said, the news channel reported.

Days before the dog abduction, a neighbor’s security camera caught two men in separate cars stopping at Hartouni’s mansion and cornering the dog.

Since Jack went missing, neighbors have gathered to help the devastated dog owner find her four-legged friends. Flyers have been posted in and around the area.

Hartouni hopes someone will come forward and bring her son Jack back to his loving home.

She explained that she didn’t need the person’s name or number, she just begged to “just take him somewhere safe.”
