Twisters star Kiernan Shipka recounts ‘Christmas mishap’ that left her with ‘massive hump’ on her nose
Kiernan Shipka has reported a holiday incident that left her waking up with a facial injury.
The 24-year-old Mad Men alum recalled the moment while promoting her upcoming Christmas film Red One at its Berlin premiere.
Chat with Peopleshe recalled, “I was drinking so much one night with my friends, and I woke up the next day and I had β I’m telling you β a huge bump on my nose.”
She noted descriptively, “My nose literally went out a little and then back in.”
The actress said: “I don’t know if I fell,” before adding that it was “unclear how it happened” and that it “lasted a few weeks.”

‘It was a big Christmas accident. You know, we live, we learn, we have fun,β the Twisters star, who turns 25 on November 10, summed up.
Set to hit theaters on November 15, Red One also stars Chris Evans, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Lucy Liu, JK Simmons and Bonnie Hunt.
Jake Kasdan directed the light-hearted film and was written by Chris Morgan and Hiram Garcia.
It follows a modern-day Santa Claus whose undercover gift-delivery organization is compromised by GrΓ½la, a spiteful medieval force played by Shipka.
βI’ve never really played a classic villain before,β Shipka said at her German premiere on November 3.
She said: βIt felt like intimidating shoes to fill. I have drawn inspiration from many different places. Lots of random things.β
JK Simmons, 69, stars opposite the former child star, who portrays Santa Claus.
Shipka praised the Hollywood vet, calling him a “great” scene partner.

She emphasized, βHe is so supportive. I mean, everyone β they’re heavyweights, this whole cast. Everyone is so good. And I was just looking, observing and discovering.β
And JK teased that his portrayal of Santa Claus is “not what people would expect.”
He told People magazine: ‘The script of the first description of Santa Claus says he’s not exactly… cheerful. And I thought that really helped me.β
The acclaimed actor admitted that the role was “intimidating” because it has been “played by some great, great actors.”
βI was happy that this was a very different take on it,β he said.
