Shellymaine Ah Foon: Devastating twist after mother is murdered on the way to a wedding
The devastated family of a young mother who died in a car crash on her way to a wedding have revealed she was pregnant.
Shellymaine Ah Foon, 32, was killed when the SUV she was traveling in collided with a ute at Aarons Pass, near Mudgee, in central west NSW, about 2pm on Friday.
Ms Ah Foon suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Mudgee Hospital where she died a short time later.
She is survived by her partner Troy and her two daughters, aged six and two.

The family was on its way to a wedding at the time of the accident.
Relatives have revealed that the mother-of-two had told friends and family just hours earlier that she was having her third child.
“We spoke to Shelly on Thursday evening and she told us she was pregnant,” said a member who did not want to be named 7 News.
‘The plan was for her to do tests when she got back from Mudgee to see how far along she had come.’
Her partner Troy, 34, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition after suffering injuries to his legs and arms.
Their daughters were also taken to hospital, but the girls have since been discharged.
Troy will spend months recovering and will not be able to work for some time after undergoing surgery on Sunday.
A metal rod was inserted into his leg and several plates and screws were inserted into his arm.
Ms Ah Foon’s family is reeling after her death and the relative said she was a “social butterfly” who always made time to help others.

“She was very family oriented, always there to help anyone who needed anything, she was very selfless with her time,” the person said.
Friends and loved ones mourned the loss of Ms Ah Foon on Facebook.
“I’m so sorry to hear this tragic and sad news,” one person said.
‘Our deepest sympathies and condolences. We are keeping the family and relatives in our prayers,” wrote another.
Ms Ah Foon’s family are waiting for her death certificate to be prepared by a coroner in Newcastle before they can make funeral arrangements.

“Shellymaine was a woman of faith with a strong devotion to her family and was unapologetically herself,” her friend said.
‘She dared, she was brave, she spoke with conviction and she was unproblematic. She enjoyed the simple things in life and lived by her own rules.’
The 54-year-old driver of the ute suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Mudgee Hospital for assessment.
A 68-year-old man sitting in the front passenger seat of the ute suffered serious injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
