Twist in death of Comanchero bikie Jason Kemp found in pool at Broome’s The Pearle of Cable Beach

A medical examiner will examine the mysterious death of a bike comanchero at a luxury resort pool just months after he moved on from a rival illegal club after police ruled out a crime.

Jason Kemp was discovered floating face down in the private pool of a villa at the five-star resort The Pearle of Cable Beach in Western Australia at around 12:10pm on Saturday.

Emergency services were called and brought to the compound, but Kemp, in his 30s, could not be revived.

Kemp had an astounding criminal record, with more than 700 entries listed in his name in court records.

His heavily tattooed body was smeared with slogans paying homage to his connection to the underworld, with the words ‘A crime pays’ scrawled across his forearm and ‘Respect the few, fear nothing’ written in black ink across his face.

Jason Kemp (pictured left with his girlfriend in 2021) was found dead at a Western Australian resort over the weekend.

Switched from Rebels to Comanchero in 2021 after being savagely beaten by a club member in prison.

WA Police confirmed on Monday that his death was being treated as non-suspicious and a coroner’s report would be prepared.

Kemp’s extensive rap sheet includes pages of crimes related to driving, drugs, assault, robbery, domestic violence and illegal possession of weapons.

In the past year alone, he has faced court twenty times on more than a dozen charges, including grabbing someone’s throat, possession of methamphetamine, cannabis, and prescription drugs.

There were also a number of traffic violations, including running red lights, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, using a fake license plate, and driving with drugs in his system.

In 2017, he was jailed for holding his ex-girlfriend and her mother at gunpoint during a four-hour siege with police.

“It’s actually quite amazing that he’s been allowed to be in the community for so long,” State’s Attorney Jason Chu said before his final stint in jail.

Kemp had been staying at the five-star resort near the popular tourist beach of Broome, in northern WA, with his girlfriend.

The village remained cordoned off with police tape on Sunday as investigators try to determine exactly what happened.

One of the latest photos posted online of Kemp and a partner shows the couple in love in October 2021.

Kemp can be seen wrapping his arm around his then-girlfriend, who had his name tattooed on her belly, while raising his middle finger towards the camera.

Kemp is understood to have been a member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle club since mid-2021.

Before that, he was a full member of the rebels.

The switch, generally considered a major offense in biker circles, occurred after he was savagely beaten by a fellow rebel in May of that year inside the Casurina prison in WA.

Kemp, who was serving time on drug and trafficking charges, suffered serious head injuries that required a lengthy hospital stay.

WA Police said the beating was the result of an internal dispute between the two club members and was unrelated to tensions over the killing of rebel chief Nick Martin months earlier.

Martin was shot dead by a sniper at the Kwinana motorsports complex, and a former soldier with ties to the international mercenary group Shadows of Hope later pleaded guilty.

By July 2021, Kemp was blacking out his large Rebels forearm tattoo in photos he posted online.

Later that month, he posted a photo showing the word “Comanchero” tattooed on his forearm over the old tattoo.

Within a few months he had his tattoo inked with the word ‘Comanchero’ after joining the new club (pictured)
