Twilight actress Elizabeth Reaser, 48, reveals she secretly married composer Bruce Gilbert last summer in Italy in front of pals Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor
Twilight actress Elizabeth Reaser has revealed she secretly tied the knot almost a year ago.
The 48-year-old star shared with Fashion that she married her longtime boyfriend Bruce Gilbert last summer.
The couple got married in a small ceremony in Italy in August 2023.
“We originally created huge lists of people to invite, but we quickly realized this didn’t feel right for us,” the brunette beauty from Michigan told the publication.
“We decided to run away instead, with some friends as witnesses,” she added.
The star is best known for her role as Esme Cullen in the Twilight franchise opposite Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Guests at the wedding included Elizabeth’s good friend Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor.
The couple met in 2017 while walking their dogs in the same Los Angeles neighborhood.
Elizabeth joked about their fateful meeting, “We owe our dogs everything!”
Bruce popped the question in 2022 while they were on vacation in Italy.
The proposal took place at what Elizabeth called her “favorite place in the world,” Hotel Il San Pietro di Positano.
Reaser walked down the aisle to the sounds of a mandolin player and guitarist arranged by her husband.
“It was so beautiful that we stopped at the end of the aisle and had an impromptu first dance,” Elizabeth said.
“I think this may have been the purest moment of happiness in my life.”

She added: ‘It was the most intense experience. Something happened to us when we took our vows.
‘It changed everything. I tried not to cry the whole time, except when I was laughing.”
Bruce is a composer who earned an Oscar for his work on the 2022 blockbuster Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Elizabeth is best known for the Twilight films and has also appeared in Grey’s Anatomy and in the films Young Adult and Ouija.
