That’s right, it’s Gok Wan…

He captioned his post: ‘Night everyone! I hope this photo, taken in the early 1980s, gives you the sweetest dreams and that my sink haircut (which Mum cut my cheek with kitchen scissors) doesn’t give you nightmares.”

Fans wrote, “Cheeky and cute, nothing has changed!!! XXX’

“I think we can all identify with a mom’s dodgy haircut”

“Oh Guess – this is too cute – so beautiful!!!”

“Goodnight Gok, you make me smile, beautiful inside and out”

It’s not the first time Gok, also known as Kowkhyn Wan, has shared throwback snaps from his childhood as he shared a photo of him last year.

The TV presenter, 48, who served as an agony uncle on This Morning, shared a photo of himself as an overweight 21-year-old while answering a caller’s question about body image.

The caller wanted advice on body confidence and Gok said, “I’ve thought about this question a lot because when I was younger I talked about this publicly.

“I really struggled with my weight and I still do, I will always live with my eating disorder as a result, and I was 21 stone as a kid and then I lost all my weight from me being very big and me being very painfully thin.

“The difference is that now when I look at that picture I don’t see a size or weight, what I see is the same person.”

The fashion consultant has long been open about his struggles with his body image, saying he gained weight while working at the family Chinese restaurant in Leicester.

The star said he only started losing weight when he moved to London to attend drama school and saw people who “looked very different” to him.

Gamble has previously reflected on the dark times of his childhood, when he struggled with both obesity and anorexia.

He once weighed 21 kilograms and developed a serious eating disorder in which he lost 11 kilograms in eight months.

The presenter told The Sun: ‘I don’t weigh myself because it’s a bit of a trigger from my old days. I don’t think I’ve lost that much. I think my body just changed, that’s all. I am fitter and I have noticed and felt a real difference in my clothes.

Looking good: Gamble has admitted his ‘confidence has improved’ since he started running after ‘overeating’ during the lockdown (pictured in March)

“I actually feel a difference in how I move, which was really interesting. I am much more agile and relaxed, and my confidence has improved. When you feel fitter and stronger, you walk and sit differently. You act differently.”

Gamble admitted that people think he’s a “massive ball of confidence,” but he found being home alone during the pandemic “really, really scary.”

Speaking of the “heavy” period, the stylist said he was “exaggerated in everything” including social media, phone use and eating as it was a “novelty”.

Gamble said that at the third lockdown in December 2020, he decided to overhaul his lifestyle by starting the Couch to 5K fitness challenge and soon “hung on” because he felt the “immediate benefits”.
